Chapter 007: Zombie Treasure Hunt Chaos

Dark Small Medium Large Original Scroll to Bottom

Staying in the pit did not evoke such intense feelings, but as soon as Li Lang stepped outside, he immediately sensed waves of a bloody and brutal aura emanating from the battlefield. By the scent, it was clear that the number of participating zombies was definitely no less than four or five.

Just as Li Lang was lost in thought, he suddenly felt a sense of being targeted. He inwardly thought, "This is bad," and attempted to evade, but it was already too late. A zombie with swollen legs suddenly leaped out from the seventh floor of the building across from him. In the instant that Li Lang had no time to react, it kicked him in the chest, sending him tumbling down

Seeing the zombie above him overlapping directly overhead, Li Lang knew that if it fell, it would definitely land on him. Coupled with the impact of falling from the fifth floor, he realized that although his small frame would not die from it, serious injury was inevitable. In this chaotic battlefield, the consequences of being seriously injured were all too clear.

Now is the time to take advantage of the situation! As I watch those zombies, all battered and bruised, their dark purple blood staining the ground beneath them, they become more ferocious the more they are injured, resembling wild beasts. These zombies do not possess a sense of collective sharing or cooperation; each one desires to devour everything for itself.

Having regained his composure, Li Lang increasingly felt that this object was peculiar. Setting aside what was inside the metal tube, the very fact of how it came to be here was certainly strange. It was unlikely that it had been here all along; otherwise, it would have been taken by other zombies long ago, and it wouldn't have lasted until today

Li Lang glared at the zombie that was also falling from the sky and cursed loudly. This zombie had actually been lurking nearby, preparing to launch a sneak attack, but it seemed that its ambush had backfired, causing it to fall as well

He looked at his left arm, which had turned into a tentacle, with a mix of laughter and tears, feeling speechless. It was baffling that all his mutation skills were so inexplicable, only manifesting in critical moments. Judging by the appearance of this tentacle, it was clear that it must be the skill of that fat zombie, though he had no idea when he had acquired it.

Li Lang's greed surged within him. If he were to consume this item, he would no longer have to fear other zombies; he could walk through this city with impunity, and perhaps even have the opportunity to storm the human base for revenge! With this thought, Li Lang could hardly resist the urge to rush out. However, the fleeting images of shadowy zombies and blue-armored warriors flashed through his mind like lightning, and the flames of desire in his heart were significantly extinguished. No matter how much power this item could enhance, it likely wouldn't elevate him to the level of the shadowy zombies, let alone the blue-armored warriors who would flee in disarray when faced with the shadowy zombies. Who knows how many warriors of that caliber exist in the human base?

This is the bomb he made using a nuclear magnetic battery ... Li Lang smiled ominously, and now it is time to drop the bomb and fight the monsters ...

He immediately activated the state of the Rending Hand in mid-air and seized the zombie above with a swift grab

And below is the silver metal cylinder, the focal point of the conflict

However, since the tentacle had emerged, Li Lang felt a sense of mastery over it. With a surge of strength, the tentacle pulled him up to a height of three stories, and then leaped into the room

From two streets away, one can faintly see the swirling sand and dust rising continuously, almost enveloping an area of one hundred meters in radius. It seems that although this battle is not as thrilling as that night, it is equally bloody and shocking

Li Lang first looked around cautiously, and only after confirming that there were no hidden zombies did he take out a large pile of miscellaneous items from his backpack, finally settling on a bundle of black cylindrical objects

He was taken aback by what had happened; the Split-Tooth Hand did not appear. Instead, his left hand extended like a noodle, transforming into a tentacle as thick as an arm. It then shot past the giant-footed zombie above and latched onto a window in a nearby building, subsequently pulling Li Lang up!

Abnormality is akin to a monster, especially in this chaotic world, where every adventure is tied to one's own life; it is better to observe for a while before taking action

After climbing to the fifth floor of this building in a few quick moves, Li Lang finally gained clarity as he looked out the window. In addition to seven second-tier zombies, there were actually two third-tier zombies among the combatants! What they were fighting over was a silver-white metal cylinder about the size of a human head, from which a fragrant aroma emanated. There was no doubt that this contained something valuable. Now that he was close and positioned above where the scent was dispersing, Li Lang felt his cells and *book* stirring restlessly. The cylinder was indeed a treasure, and the benefits it could provide if consumed were likely unimaginably immense, almost rivaling Li Lang's occasionally effective bone absorption technique. No, it far surpassed it and could potentially allow the zombies below to directly level up!

Other types of Dimeric zombies exhibit unilateral enhancements; for instance, the single-armed bone blade zombie possesses three heads, while the fully hardened defensive zombie has two heads, and there is also a fissured-tooth zombie, among others

Li Lang, with a face full of astonishment, brushed past the equally astonished giant-foot zombie in mid-air. He then hung suspended, wide-eyed, watching as the giant-foot zombie crashed down onto the incredibly hard metal tube. The sudden appearance of the giant-foot zombie immediately disrupted the original battle group; the other zombies, thinking someone was trying to take advantage, united in their fury and all pounced on the giant-foot zombie. Unfortunately, the poor giant-foot zombie had not yet recovered from the dizziness of its landing and was soon torn to pieces with a scream. The dark purple zombie blood nearly splattered onto Li Lang's feet in mid-air, sending a chill down his spine. Li Lang was fully focused on watching this chaotic battle. The two Tier 3 zombies were clearly a level above the Tier 2 zombies, exhibiting a significant leap in abilities across the board. More importantly, their mutation skills were even more formidable. One of the Tier 3 zombies had undergone a mutation in its skin and hands; its hands had transformed into long, conical shapes, extending to twice their original length, while its entire body was encased in hardened, armor-like skin, resembling a humanoid tank as it charged through the horde of zombies. Its arms were as agile as the dual weapons of ancient warriors, effortlessly sending three Tier 2 zombies flying. The other Tier 3 zombie was even more bizarre, with its mutated parts being its head and neck. Its head was twice the size of an average person's, perfectly embodying the saying "a head is twice as big," and it sported a long horn. Its neck had become more spring-like than an actual spring, capable of twisting dozens of times and extending many times its original length. Li Lang witnessed it twist its neck several times and then retract it to the extreme, before suddenly snapping it forward with a "whoosh," explosively bursting the head of a nearby zombie that had attempted a sneak attack.

Li Lang had just run to a location separated from a building at the combat point when he suddenly saw three clouds of dust accompanied by howls rushing in from a distance. Surprisingly, three more zombies appeared, seemingly all of the second-tier variety.
